For couples who are die-hard baseball fans, what better way to celebrate your engagement than at Progressive Field right in the heart of downtown Cleveland? This session was extra special for these two love birds since the stadium is where their love story began! I had the honor of capturing their connection in a place that already held so much meaning – The Corner where they shared their first date.

⚾ Why Progressive Field Makes a Great Engagement Location

Progressive Field is a fun, unique spot for photos that really stand out from the usual park or urban shoots. For sports fans, it’s an obvious choice — but even if baseball isn’t really your thing, the stadium is an iconic part of Cleveland and a creative way to incorporate the city into your session. From the stands to the concourse, the architecture, colors, and energy make your photos memorable, lively, and distinctly Cleveland.

🚲 Behind the Scenes: A Scooter, a Baseball, and a Lucky Find

To make this shoot happen, I chose to park at a favorite brewery and took a scooter across the city to get to the stadium (a peculiar sight for onlookers, I’m sure!) On my way there I was brainstorming ways to make the photos special, and I thought of buying a ball to use as a prop. However, not even 15 minutes into the shoot we found a game ball on the ground under a chair — even better than I had imagined! Not only did I get to bring home my first MLB ball, but it ended up being my favorite shot from the session.
